This is not a very diverse list of restaurants, and doesn't seem to reflect all that Dorchester has to offer. Any thoughts on why that might be? Thanks.

Good point. There are so many other restaurants (especially absent are all of the wondeful ethnic restaurants in Dorchester). Hopefully next year they will expand to include more!

Here is a message from my neighbor, who eats out much more than I do, and sent me an email on the subject:

"Restaurant Laura, Merengue, Ceasaria, Shanti, Shabu Hot Pot, Pho 2000, Pho So are all great choices if you are looking for a non-Restaurant Week place to eat this weekend."

Technically, Merengue is in Roxbury and Shabu is in Quincy, but I still like the list.

Dot2Dot Cafe is now officially in Dorchester-Milton Restaurant Week. You can call Karen for the details; her menu is up: http://bit.ly/D2DRestaurantWeek.

Chris and Erin—in addition to her menu, Karen at Dot2Dot has also posted a list of other restaurants Restaurant Week visitors should check out.

Many owners do not want to take part in this event. It is a lot of work for some and waitstaff lose money in tips

Dot2Dot sadly is not taking part in Restaurant Week, they will be taking part in the Main Street Restaurant event. I would think that more ethnic restaurants will take part in the Main Street event.
