Wine Club at the Ashmont Grill

We finally made it to the much acclaimed "Monday Night Wine Club" at the Ashmont Grill. Wine Club offers a four-course meal paired with four wines (and on occasion beer...). We went on Portugal wines night and enjoyed a wonderful meal with Portugese flavored dishes such as bacalhau (salted codfish), clams, grilled beef, and o bolo de chocolate (decadent chocolate cake). Along with each dish is served a wine with a description. The wine flowed, Erin couldn't finish it all, but Chris did. Wine Club tries to create a social atmosphere so you may get seated with other guests, but it seemed inconsistent. (It might be nice if they gave you the choice...) Wine Club starts at 6:30pm on Mondays and costs $30.

we have just moved here and are loving your blog to help us find our way around. Do we need reservations for the Wine Club?

We are not sure if reservations are required, but when we went the restaurant was very full and some other websites claim it almost always sells out, so we recommend you call (617.825.4300) in advance.

ps. Thanks for the kind words about our blog!
