Although we do not have any hard evidence yet, the rumor floating around Dorchester is that a new bakery will be opening in the former site of Common Ground in Lower Mills. We walked by the other day and it certainly resembles a bakery... So stay tuned.UPDATE: The Boston Globe reports that there will be a new bakery called Sweet Life Bakery and Café in the former Common Ground space sometime in October. It will serve baked good and have a lunch menu. We are excited!

I saw construction being done on Saturday, April 21st.
We walked by yesterday and peeked in... We saw a bunch of bakery cases and what appeared to be a dinning area, plus they are painting the exterior gray. We are excited!
